Diary of Dreams, ein Leben der Musik.Nach einer kleinen Komposition an der klassischen Gitarre namens Tagebuch der Träume benannt, rief der in Düsseldorf aufgewachsene Adrian Hates 1989 Diary of Dreams ins Leben.1994 folgte dann nach unzähligen Demoaufnahmen, die Adrian nie zufrieden stellten, endlich das Debütalbum Cholymelan. Von der Presse gefeiert, katapultierte es sich sofort in die Herzen vieler Musikliebhaber düsterer Töne.Es folgten 26 weitere Tonträger, darunter eine DVD, ein paar Singles, 2 EPs, ein gefeiertes Akustik-Album und 12 reguläre Alben, darunter z.B. der Meilenstein Nigredo mit dem sagenhaften Fotoshooting auf Island und das überaus erfolgreiche aktuelle Album hell in Eden.Von seinen Fans besonders auch für seine Texte geschätzt, bewegt sich Adrian Hates sprachlich hauptsächlich in der Metaphorik und beschreibt sehr ausdrucksstark und mehrdeutig, was ihn beschäftigt, meist in Englisch, aber auch in Deutsch. Welche Sprache er wählt, entscheidet der Song eigentlich eher selbst, sagt er.In all diesen Jahren, in denen sich die Besetzung immer wieder veränderte, näherte sich Mastermind und Sänger Adrian Hates der Vision seines Projekts und schlussendlich auch seinen Träumen immer mehr.Etwa 500 Konzerte in fast 40 Ländern ist es nun her, seit der erste Ton aus dem Tagebuch erklang, und ein Ende ist nicht in Sicht. Laut Adrian wird es das letzte sein, was er in seinem Leben macht. Ein Leben mit und für die Musik.Fast 5 Jahre ist es nun her, seit im Oktober 2017 das letzte Diary of Dreams Album erschien. Nie zuvor in der Bandgeschichte gab es eine so lange Pause zwischen zwei Alben. Der Grund dafür ist vielschichtig; die Welt scheint durchzudrehen und alles auf den Kopf zu stellen - zu viele globale, aber auch private Rückschläge verschoben immer wieder den Fokus und machten es der Band um Mastermind Adrian Hates unmöglich, das Album mit der gewohnten Detailliebe und Hingabe zu Ende zu bringen. Bis jetzt, denn die treue Fangemeinde darf sich im Frühling 2023 endlich auf ein neues Album und eine dazugehörige Tournee freuen, so wie einige ausgewählte Festivalauftritte und Sommer Open Airs. Im Gepäck natürlich die neuen Songs, aber auch ein neuer und vielseitiger Rückblick auf die bisherige musikalische Historie ... Die lange Konzertdiät hat die Band regelrecht ausgehungert, die Vorfreude ist riesig und wird sich 2023 mit geballter Live-Energie entladen. Euch erwartet frenetische Spielfreude und endlich ein neues Kapitel im Tagebuch der Träume.
Diary of Dreams, a life of music.Diary of Dreams started in 1989 as the project of Adrian Hates, who took the name from a little composition for classic guitar called “Tagebuch der Träume”. In 1994, after a number of demo recordings that all failed to satisfy Adrian’s high musical standards, Diary of Dreams released their debut album Cholymelan. It received enthusiastic press reviews and conquered the hearts of many music lovers with a penchant for darker sounds. By now, Diary of Dreams look back on 26 different releases, among them a DVD, a few singles, two EPs, a critically acclaimed acoustic album and 12 regular studio albums such as the seminal Nigredo with the legendary photo shooting on Iceland, or the enormously successful latest release, hell in Eden. Held in high regard by his fans also for his lyrics, Hates is well-known for his metaphorical language and the expressive and ambiguous descriptions of the matters on his mind. He writes mostly in English, but sometimes also in German – the language of choice, he says, tends to be determined by the song itself.While Diary of Dreams’ line-up has undergone a number of changes, mastermind and singer Adrian Hates has come ever closer and closer to his vision for the project, and thus, to his dreams. Since the first note rang out of the Diary, the band has been playing about 500 concerts in almost 40 countries, with no end in sight. According to Adrian, it will be the last thing he ever does in his life.A life with and for music.Almost five years have passed since the last Diary of Dreams album was released in October 2017. Never before in the band's history was there such a long break between two albums. The reason for this is complex; the world seems to go crazy and turn everything upside down - too many global, but also private setbacks kept shifting the focus and made it impossible for the band around mastermind Adrian Hates to finish the album with the usual loving dedication and attention to detail. Until now: In spring 2023, the loyal fan base can finally look forward to a new album and a corresponding tour as well as well selected festival and open air performances in summer! Of course, new songs will be presented, but also a new and varied overview of the previous musical history ... The long concert hiatus has literally starved the band, the anticipation is huge and will be discharged in 2023 with concentrated live energy. You can expect the band playing at their frenetic best – and finally, a new chapter in the Diary of Dreams!

We are Unify Separate [aka Us]
Unify Separate are the Scottish-Swedish duo of ex-Geneva singer Andrew Montgomery and
Lowe frontman Leo Josefsson, whose dark and beautiful electronic pop is a soundtrack for your dreams.
The pair started writing together in 2015, a few months after Montgomery had relocated to Sweden.
With a unique voice that’s equal parts choirboy and soul boy, Montgomery made waves in the Britpop era with Geneva,
scoring four emotive Top 40 singles and two critically-feted albums (‘Further’ and ‘Weather Underground’) on Nude Records
between 1996 and 2000, touring with label mates Suede along the way. In 2014, after a long silence, he released his debut solo album
’Ruled by Dreams’, produced by Sean McGhee (Robyn, Alison Moyet, Imogen Heap). The album attracted rave reviews in Q (4 stars)
and Uncut (7/10).
Josefsson is a luminary of the Stockholm synth scene with the bands Lowe and Statemachine, whose work has been recognised
with several Scandinavian Alternative Music Awards, including Best Newcomer, Best Live Act, Best Song and Best Album.
He’s also a respected video director who’s worked with the likes of Kent, Miriam Bryant, Tilly & Elephant, Eric Saade, The Mobile Homes
and Smith & Thell, and has technical direction credits for Rihanna and Robyn. He has a growing collection of analogue synthesisers
that are taking over his studio by stealth.
